Batik and Printing Day…

Saturday came quick… and like always you do think you have all the time in the world to prepare for something… and so it was.. even this time..:O))
But I think we did well..
So here is some pictures from my Saturday with dyes and prints!
We had three different pigments to chose from
I chose light green for my batik…
And this is how mine turned out…
A bit pale.. but you all know me..lol..
But i like the almost transparent white pattern..:O))
But then on the other hand we dont know what we will be using this for …
so who knows..maybe I did the right choice…or not!!!
My friends did chose redyellow or purple or a mix between those,
and mixed ink for the prints…
Went home with a can of fabric that were supposed to be in the remaining colour bath for about 12 hours…
And I just took it out this morning..
The next month we will have Patchwork..;o))
and well…can say that I feel a little bit more comfortable with that ..
or maybe … it will be the hardest month of them all..lol..
yepp.. think so.. because I am not in charge..lol..
Still having my…#€%&%€# cold…
and an eye infection as a bonus this morning…
Maybe a visit to the doc have to be done in the morning..
SIGH…
Back to sewing on my Butterfly Garden…
See you all!!

  1. Hey Stina! What fun it looks like you had playing with dies and colour! Love all of the colours, especially your green and aqua colours – can't wait to see what you make from them now. Hope your icky cold gets better soon so you feel better! Bear Hugs! KRISPS. the verification word is "beare" how appropriate for a 'bearie' kind of gal like me! :0) BH! KRIS

  2. I am wearing a sweater today the colour of your first dye and print. It all looks great. Sounds like you need some antibiotics for that cold and sore eye. Hope you will soon be on the mend.Shirley.x

  3. I think that your batik fabrics turned out lovely…both the light and the dark ones 🙂 🙂 🙂 Will you use them in a quilt? I'd save them for just the right project. Maybe you could make a quilt out of nothing but batik prints? That would look nice!!!!Hope you feel better soon…colds….boo…eye infection…booo….Get better soon, please 😉 🙂 🙂 You have a lovely blog. Thanks for sharing all your creations here 🙂 🙂 :)Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather 🙂
